I just read an article about a company called CareerExcuse.  I am actually impressed by the people who came up with this business.  They are very enterprising.  Honestly!  This website helps people with no work experience by providing them with references for their resumes.  For a fee, a job seeker can use any of CareerExcuse’s 200 companies as references.  By the way, none of those 200 companies really exist!  When a hiring manager or human resource personnel contacts one of CareerExcuse’s fake companies for a reference, they will “confirm” (tell a bold faced lie) that the candidate worked there and that he/she was a good employee.  This article highlights why employers should utilize a professional reference verification service to verify a candidate’s experience.  Here is a link to the full article.
